Hi Pete and anyone out there,

Right, it's all in my mind, but something must have put it there... right?
Bottom line, OMs including myself were not really welcomed and were grumbled
about by some YLs who thought the net was an exclusive club. OK, fine, WE
formed the OM net, remember? Incidentally that's the way Misfit Island was
born, a challenge issued on QRZ "you can't do it" but it was done and the web
site became very successful. Why? None of the bad air that made me leave QRZ.
Anyway, you're right that I wasn't rejected by the YL net, but I wasn't made
to feel welcome either.

As for Trevor M1CUK, it wasn't him personally but he rejected my callsign at
the urging of some of his users. He seemed fairly resistant to my "stuff"
like calling him Norman (his last name Bates) and pointing out how useless
his incessant virus warnings were. Face it, by the time word gets out AV
companies already have it in their databases so if you update regularly and
frequently you have a defense. Eh, neither here nor there I suppose,
eventually the group realized I wasn't the agressor and the door opened
again. BTW, I thought it rather funny he was too fat to climb and had some
incidents with antenna masts like the one that fell in the street. David sent
me some of his wedding pictures, he married a beautiful bird but as fate
would have it he went SK a few months later. Darn, turned out he was a decent
bloke after all! Yeah, I miss him too along with quite a few who simply
disappeared.

"To block a user, and I mean end his/her ability to send and receive
SPs and SBs one sysop needs the support of the Sysop community."
True, and that's exactly what happened with "Chrissie" the gay blade who
simply wouldn't mind his/her manners. Gotta give him/her credit for knowing
the way around the South African network, plug one leak and another opens.
Finally ALL sye sysops ganged up and sealed off the ooze.

Yeah, we had some interesting times in the Golden Age of Packet.

Right, packet began to suffer around the time of the last GNWB Rally, I just
never made the connection of why I wasn't reading anything but dribs and
drabs.

"Hmmmm ... hockey season and the Worlds from RUSSIA."
Uh oh, we have football, you have hockey, baseball is in the playoffs so here
we go again. (;->)
