Dear All,

I might have titled this for "Icom" but I suspect it's more universal
than that:-

Using my 18 month old Icom transceiver I started getting strange audio
reports when using high power only. Suspecting the complicated Icom
power lead which has both a large filter and 2 fuses inline I measured
the input voltage to the rig. - It was dropping from 13.8V to about 11V
during TX. The fault turned out to be the fuses having dirty/oxidised
connections which had built up over time. The fuse-holder has gold contacts
but the fuses didn't - when cleaned up everything back to normal.

- Hope this might help others getting the similar strange reports.

Phil
