Hi, folks-

I have posted a file announcing the 2013 traffic handlers picnic Saturday,
September 28, 2013, starting around 11:00 A.M. We will let you know about
where Friday night dinner will be. Some info about area hotels is also in
the flyer. Please spread the word among the various traffic nets and NTS
organs.

I am also pasting the flyer below.

HOPE TO SEE YOU- 73- Bill

TRAFFIC HANDLERS PICNIC

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2013

11:00 A.M.

WHERE: 11 IOWA AVENUE, LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ 07849 (Jefferson Twp., Morris
County- Home of
Bill Fagan, KB2QO, and Sue Fagan, N2UTC)

All traffic handlers and their families are invited

Hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, desert, sodas will be provided

We are located five to six miles from Route 80 in northern New Jersey. Our
location
is about 30 miles East of Pennsylvania, and about 40 miles West of New
York City.

There are many hotels in the area, but two which seem reasonable are the
Hampton Inn,
350 Morris Avenue, Denville, NJ (973-664-1050), 7 miles from us; and the
Holiday Inn
Express, 176 Howard Boulevard, Mount Arlington, NJ 07856 (973-770-7880) 4
miles from us.
Both of these facilities had rooms available as of yesterday, with prices
grossly
$79 to $120/night, before taxes, and including complimentary breakfast.
AARP and AAA
discounts were sometimes applicable. (One area facility was already booked
for that
date due to "Wedding Season", so it is probably advisable to book soon).

For those from out of town, (and anyone else who cares to join) we will
plan to gather
for dinner at a local restaurant on Friday September 27. Details later.

For anyone wishing to stay another day or so to visit New York City, NJ
Transit rail
service is available from Dover or Denville, NJ. (That line does extend to
Mt. Arlington,
but there is no or very limited service there on weekends.) The Lakeland
Bus also
operates regular service from Dover to Port Authority, NY.

As soon as you know you will probably be here, I would appreciate an RSVP
to:
wfagan@optonline.net Subject line PICNIC. Nominally, we would appreciate
an RSVP
by September 7 if you are coming, but if it evolves after that date that
you can
come please do and just let us know as soon as you do. If you have
specialized
mobility or other needs, please let us know.

Thanks, and looking forward to seeing everyone.

My home phone is 973-663-0751, cell 973-896-8710

Please spread the word to nets and traffic-related officials in your
locale. Thanks.
HOPE TO SEE YOU- 73- Bill
