A word to the SS-division "Dead Head"

This detachment was the most hated and even in the German
mitlitary very controversal regarded formation.

They had been known for extra ordinary cruelness.

They had been a military tank division as well as the guard in
the concentration camps. (My stepfather was an tank officer in
this division and badly wounded in Russia)

Very hard fighter, that is true but even respectless to the
"rules of war" (Contract of Hague which geve the common rules hwo
to fight and what to do with Civilians and captured enemies)

They never gave pardon to the enemies but even didn not expect
mercy, they regraded themselve as an "Order of the German Big
RIch" (Großdeutsches Reich)

The commanding general EIKE was called by another SS-General as a
"butcher", there are countless stories from Belgium and France
where they killed civilians and as far as I know Eike should have
been brought to a "military court" but did not go by the
protetion of A.H.

Concerning to the story of Dunkirk: it would have been very easy
to the "Krauts" to elimate the british forces but it was stopped
by A.H. himself

His opinion was to come to a peace with Great Britain, A.H. had
some emotion to UK which he regarded as the "family of Germanic
Race".

He did not want the war with GB (which for his big surprise after
the attaque ot Poland declared the war to us) THat was a bad
surprise to him.

Klaus
