Hi Tony and any others.

The only news I have seen about the fires was (I think ) on RT and
mentioned the possibility that some of them may have been started
deliberately. They only showed NSW BTW.

I have suddenly realised thatI have experienced 49 deg C it is the same as
the 120 deg F in a sauna. I know thay will go higher but you are just
lying there naked and sweating and don't need to move. I don't know if we
still have saunas anywhere in this area but, if there are, they will
probably cost too much for me to afford,

Temp here at the moment 2 deg C and about 30 cm of soft snow on the walls
and cars. I am hoping I will be able to make it shopping on Wednesday.
Last week I used a taxi but i don't know whether he will be able to make
it up the short sharp hill to my place. It all depends on whether the
streets are salted. Our costs are usually for the cost of heating fuel at
about $A1/day
standing charge then cost per kWh on top of that. I have driven an air
conditioned car but I kept the AC firmly OFF and the heating on and it
wasn't even winter.

O.K. whinge over, I will go and make another nice hot cup of tea.

I don't really nderstand all that Global Warming stuff, I think of it as a
bit like flying saucers.

Take care and keep safe.
