Hi Rod and Ian.
Here we have now about minus 6 degrees.
I went outside to walk a bit with the dog but it was very cold ;)
I have been sitting inside for about 3 week nows becouse i could not walk.
And when you first come out its very cold hihi.
Hope whe get an "Elfsteden tocht" here last one whas in 1997.
And back then i wash about 13 years old so i dont remember mutch hi.
It's a skating journey tha goes by 11 city's here in my provence: Friesland
Its a about 250 Km long and a lot of skaters dont make it and stop at the 9th city Franker.
In every city there's a stamping post and if you get all stamps on your card you
get an Elfsteden Kruisje this a Medal and a great achievement.
I think there is a good english explenation on the internet but i hope you get my point.
My english is not that very good hihi.
The city's are:
Leeuwarden
Sneek (my city)
Ijlst
Sloten
Stavoren
Hindelopen
Workum
Bolsward
Franeker
Dokkum
And from Dokkum back to Leeuwarden for the finish.
I will try to post a picture of the elsteden kruisje with 7+ for those
who are interested.
