Hello Warren, and thanks for that ...but ??? Well thats ok for you
in the USA, and I was dealing with the laws enacted in CANADA,
and my experience with them, while I was so brief, as I am sure
that other countrys have their versions of their Laws governing
this issue.

Broadcast is by the word, intended for the masses or citizens.

Our CB or GRS in CANADA, was $ 3.00 for three years, with the expration
date on the licence to operate GRS. Business band CB was $ 20 per
base and $ 10 per mobile. Then the GRS <CB> jumped to $ 12 for 3 years
and I think they regretted it, with the numbers who like I filed
some interesting complaints that in a previous posting I mentioned
and BTW I was upheld in my complaints, in my case it went to Ottawa
for higher court due to the circumastances being not handled in Toronto.

I used to remember when a Canadian licence came from the Ministry
of Fisheries, but then calls then were made up and registered
and then too a few became famous as they became broadcast stattions
like 9RB. When I came interested the Dept of Transport was handling
it, and the exam was I think $ 25.00 and yearly fee for the callsign
was $ .50 ..yeppers !!!! FIFTY CENTS ...how times have changed
as now as with GRS it is ZERO. No protection and thats the breaks.

Yes it was ... I guess, but then only applied to the USA. And then
too International the issue is how to apply ..what?

Ok on FCC .. I'll leave'em to you.
