Hello Paula G8PZT and others.,

First of all I think we have only 2 more hammies to hear from
then party time. NO KA9LCF your two postings received here
in duplicate are only counted as "1" :)

In KA9LCF's post was some legal beagle stuff, that make me
think why now the annual renewal and licence fee for hammie
radio is "ZERO". Up here in CANADA we paid yearly for the
hammie licence station callsign...then as with the CB licence
it all went "zero" and that is a clue to times ahead.

The old CB licence was $CDN 3.00 for three years then went
to $ 12.00 then discontinued, as did the service as if one called
a complaint, we'd get some attention. Of course too our Radio Act
seemed to be ammended as things like secrecy of communications
went out the window as KA9LCF says , where , and I am not
quoting, that anyone can listen in and repeat what is said.

I guess in future, NO more private information, and thats because
WE all have no clue whom is lurking out there.

I can also relate to people hearing my Packet and it's ID every
5 minutes, as one of the callers to my Landline BBS, called me
or left me a message about hearing it, and as a Scanner listner
he figured out and read all traffic incoming and outgoing activites
of VE3WBZ, as well another via my packet gateway from the Landline
BBS too. He BTW got his Amateur Licence and is onair, as well
a few others whom via participating in the LandLine BBS got
interested enough to go after it.

I guess Paula is looking for an outcome, and if it benefits
us all then OK.

   Happy New Year 2013 from VE3WBZ 145.070mhz
