I have no experience with either Winpack or Windows7, but I had a look at
some of the old messages on the BBS and found this:

under Win7 64 bits: in the last case you need the XP virtual machine."
I know you said it *was* running, so I presume you were in virtual XP mode.
I wonder if you have recently changed any settings on the PC that could
affect this?
Perhaps if someone could explain what is the difference between normal mode
and safe mode it might help point you in the right direction... Anyone???
