All:
10mtr is great. Seems to be open mid-morning, then shuts down at dusk.
I have been working the entire planet at 20 watts. Haven't really seen 6m
active at all... hopefully it picks up.
I have mostly been using the new jt65HF mode for contacts, then sometimes
psk31. When I m not operating, I transmit beacons via WSPR or PropNet.
That is the most effective, real-time way to monitor band conditions. I
encourage everyone to do the same.
I have a house in Northern Vermont @ 1700ft, but it is not great for ham
radio. I get way too much noise off the street power lines.
Have a Great Day and Enjoy Packet Radio!
