Hello Warren, and others, and ... well this is IT for me, time to move
along. Life is just so short, to get any deeper embroiled in this.
Sorry Warren, and others if I re-quoted Warren KB2VXA's posting, as it
hit the mark. Re-quoted it all so that comments coming back denying
this or that would be no go.
In all these debated multi-postings by this and that Amateur, I find
sincere desire to give information they think might be of benefit
to someone, if not just reading value, and "ok" a flower here
or there, or as I joked with another sysop Danny, I'll send a pic
of a tree. ALL of them are sysops of BBSes, and in one text before
a flower, a description of it. In this case a bush outside his home
he wanted to share... and his BBS he is sysop of, as well a packet
address, to which the moaners n groaners could have directed a SP
packet to in private. Also there was his email address.
ALL this "flak" could have been avoided.
I also have a second thought, but no worth it, as pre-all this, I
expressed in emails with others, where all this was going, and
it did.
The great thing about ham radio and packet, is being on a great
radiotelephone party line, like phone service of old. My rural
phone back then was like that " 2 long 2 short" was my call to
pick up the phone, but then too I could always listen in as well
have partyline conversations. Same wonderful thing with Ham Radio
CB radio and FRS...partyline. Never get that with a cell phone
and as for help ... in rural area...if the cellphone could pick
others closeby to you...that would be an advantage.
Oh well...the words of me... as the neighbour kids say... carrying
on in other weird vintage ways...and no cellphone.
