Hi DJ, Pete and anyone else about.

As Pete says, packet is still there, not nearly in the quantities of the past, but it is there.

In this pasrt of the world (Scotland) we are expanding our coverage further north. The reason is that,
although I'm in the East of Scotland,I am able to connect to the West by internet and although this is
frowned on by some, it has allowed us to connect two systems together and hence forward further
north on an HF network. Now we have another BBS back on "line" after several years off line.
I keep pushing the fact that getting onto packet has never been easier - soundcards are fitted to
every computer produced today - all that is required is a bit of wire, a transistor and some plugs -
cheap - cost non existant ! Components may even be found in scrap computers.

Try a CQ DJ and see what happens ....
