I hear many complain that the Flexnet is dieing due to lack of use. We believe that
Winlink2000 will change all that. Winlink2000 allows you to send emails out to the
internet via packet and telnet to ordinary recipients hams and non-hams alike. It will also
be a useful tool in emergencies when the internet in the area is down. Winlink2000 can
become our next generation of use for the FlexNet. We are looking to see more
Winlink2000 RMS nodes pop up along the FlexNet network. Winlink2000 is very easy to
setup and if you are reading this, then you already have the equipment to run
winlink2000. There are already many RMS nodes established such as: WA2GUG-10,
N2RGA-10, N2PQT-10, N1BDF-10, KB2JOE-10, but we need to see more. More RMS
nodes exist, but they are not connected with a FlexNet digi. If you know of anyone with
winlink but not on FlexNet, ask them to join the many.
Visit http://www.winlink.org for more and thank you.
