Hi Martin and all,

Guys And Dolls was a 1955 musical starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons
and Frank Sinatra. (;->)

Ah yes, the Commodewhore VIC-20, I remember the William Shatner
commercial, not so much the computer. Er, the Bay modem was the hardware,
Baycom was the software and when it comes to simple things you can't beat
my one and only TNC, the old reliable MFJ-1270 TNC-2. I've used
everything from Multicom which came with it on a floppy to Windows
Terminal and finally Winpack, any old dumb terminal software will do. So
how did I get Windows Terminal to work with it? Written primarily for
Hayes and Kermit it worked just fine in TTY mode, writing command strings
was the fun part.

The thing that tweaks my beak is the TNC sitting there gathering dust,
due to circumstances beyond my control I was forced to use Winpack in
Telnet mode so here I am still in New Jersey but coming to you from a BBS
in Australia. Credit where credit is due though, I thank Bob VK6ZRT for
his kind generosity. One fly in the ointment, I'm stuck with Bob VK6BE
elbowing me in the ribs from the next port over. (;->)
