I can't remember when exqctly I started using packet but it was several
years before I retired 23 years ago.

Regarding the so called social networks, I have used a number of them,
some whose names I can't remember now, it's years ago, and then ICQ
which I used for some time. I did try FACEBOOK but gave that one away when
someone highjacked a friend's address book and somehow (they tell me it
can't be done but it was) sent me a virus via Facebook. Then to cap it off
someone circulated a false URL offering sexual services on behalf of a
female friend of mine. That ended Facebook for me, and now we find all
sorts of problems including cyber bullying and worse using Facebook which
makes me realize I did the right thing in getting rid of it. I have never
tried Twitter and don't intend too now our pollies use it to get political
messages across. I hear and see enough of them on TV. I use skype, which
is one network where you can reject unwanted calls. I keep to those people
whom I know on there including Pete and Ian the packeteers.
Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.

Facebook? Nah, a book of faces is of no interest but there is a place
where twits twitter like bird brains. If you really want dingbats You
Tube is the place where they fiercely compete for the Darwin Award. So
Bob, who are the idiots who took over? The minute politicians discovered
these world wide forums and assigned their ghost writers to get the
message out people snapped it all up, there you have the essence of
social networking.

You got rid of it, I never installed it.
