Hi Bob and all,

Before packet there were packets but we hadn't the technology for
transmitting them over radio. Somehow we managed to roll short and long
bits of carrier waves into little balls and bounce them off the
ionosphere .... ..

Good grief, sending files must be awfully hard on the mechanism, I'll
stick with ASCII characters and send the files over the internet where
they slide along nicely and rarely the clunk or screech.

Facebook? Nah, a book of faces is of no interest but there is a place
where twits twitter like bird brains. If you really want dingbats You
Tube is the place where they fiercely compete for the Darwin Award. So
Bob, who are the idiots who took over? The minute politicians discovered
these world wide forums and assigned their ghost writers to get the
message out people snapped it all up, there you have the essence of
social networking.

You got rid of it, I never installed it. Back in the early days I cut my
teeth on AOL and soon learned what the A really stood for. Fool me once,
shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
