RAFARS CONSTITUTION 2011
The result of the ballot for the 2011 Constitution was:
Forms received 116 Votes For: 109, Against: 3, Abstain: 2, Late: 2.
The new Constitution came into effect on October 1st 2011 after the AGM.

MORGI Ian has been authorised by HQRAFARS Licence holder M0MJG Michael to
use G3RAF/P until the 31st Jan 2012. Well done, Ian, for keeping G3RAF/P
activated for a number of times since it was made available to members to
make RAFARS known over the Amateur Radio Bands.

BARAC RADIO RALLY 4 DECEMBER 2011.
There will be a RAFARS stall at the Bishop Auckland Radio Amateur Club
Annual Rally 04 Dec 2011. RAFARS Commodities will be on sale and a sign in
book will be available. Talk in will be on 145.550. The BARAC Rally is the
only rally in the north east of England with RAFARS representation.

from members.
SSB FIELD DAY 3-4 Sept 2011 RESULTS.
The SSB Field Day results have been published. RAFARS G8FC/P came 16th out
of 30 in the Restricted Section. This is better than I thought, so well
done team!
This result was with a broken mast and the other one dropped two sections
for safety reasons. We lost 17 QSOs during adjudication and gained one
multiplier, guess the RSGB are using a different Country list but not
complaining. Full results appear on the RSGB website.

De-brief Sat 8 October 2011. Conditions Poor on 80m Good on 40m,
Number of station worked 62. RAFARS 80 Net 1100A G3RAF/A (M0RGI) G2AFV.
RAFARS worked on 40m GD4WBY GB2BP G4XSR G1XZW MW1ARM G6UHD. Conditions
very poor on 80m throughout the day so we stayed on 40m most of the time
with a good result. Again a thanks to Henry M0ZAE (Guest) for his help in
operating the station, we even had quite a few pile ups at times.
If 80m is down next month, I will QSY to 40m after the 1100 RAFARS Net.
