Hi Ian and all ... Yes it was the 14th Annual Algonquin Star Party
and no I am not into Astronomy, and do not have a telescope, but
a very long long time friend is into it and we enjoy seeing him
and his wife and catching up on old times and our mutual friends
as well the colours of the park and being in such a place.
As for buying a scope, one of our mutal friends made his from
scratch. worked the first time ... and we used it the night
or early morning of the Jupiter impacts. What a treat to watch
it happen and not miss it and only see pictures or video.

No ...never got to decode it. I have fond memorys of R0MIR-7 it really
lived passed it's time, and ok on the rockets and the Soyuz which..yes
I think you are right as the latest made a hard landing somewhere.
I still wonder which is better ...sea landings or hard landings?

I get tibits from Bob on Skype, and I am sure you will get the password
back, with maybe a RE-ROLL of Skype then email them and I am sure they
will help as they have done for me.
Looking forward to seeing you on Skype Ian ...We miss you there.

Aaah the "Yellow Submarine" ... hahahha..in the park, we never had
any problems getting lost or finding it, and other campers had some
comments of their own on the colour....and for night time, we had our
navigation lights and display dressed ship lights on which helped us
find it in the pitch black of the campground.
There were also BEAR warnings posted ... but we never saw a thing..
just chipmunks coming over to look at us, and scamper away to find
their food supply. NO feeding any animals in the park.
I guess Bob can read this, as there are sites to go to... so we'll
see if he got it.
OK Ian ... leaving again in October after a refit, and resupply
and we will not be back until after Dead Bird Day ...or Thanksgiving.
There is no Internet up there, except I think a place my outside
deep fringe WiFi yagi beam can pick up..so I am taking that with me
and checking for packet there too..hahahahaha... see you later
matey ....and they rest of our Packeteerland family.
