SSB FIELD DAY 3-4 SEP 2011.
RAFARS will be taking part in SSB Field Day at Metheringham Lincs LN4 3BQ.
The existing team are always looking out for members to join. If you fancy
taking part either as an operator or assisting to set up and dismantle the
station you will be welcome.The more who attend the less work to be done
which makes it so much more enjoyable. Please contact Roger Hyde, G3ZDW,
the Contest Manager, address in QRZ or just turn up on site.
RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND AGM 2011
The Dinner will be held at the Grays Hotel, Telford TF3 4NA Fri 30th Sept.
The AGM will be held in the No.1 Radio School, DCAE Cosford WV7 3EX
on Sat 1st Oct.
Applications to attended Dinner and AGM were enclosed inside
the Autumn 2011 QRV Journal and should have been returned to HQRAFARS.
All Members not attending the AGM should have also informed our Secretary
on the form provided.
The last date for inclusion in AOB is Tues 6 Sep 2011.
G4PSH/M and /A will be on 144.725 FM Fri Sat and Sun (not during Dinner or
the AGM).
RAFARS FIELD REPRESENTATIVE.
Due to Ill Health Alf GM4UZP 2116 can no longer take on the duties as
Field Rep. RAFARS Council and Members Wish to Thank Alf for all his work
as FR in Scotland over the years, however Alf is still remaining a RAFARS
Member. Delete FR 122 GM4UZP accordingly.
Looking at the FR List we do not have a FR for Scotland or Wales so if
anyone would like to take the job on contact Michael M0MJG,FR Coordinator.
LLANDUDO RADIO RALLY 29 30 OCTOBER 2011..
RAFARS will be represented at the Llandudno Rally on 29th and 30th October
2011 by Mike the Gen Sec, (QTH Cosford) and Roy QRV Editor (from Kendal).
Please make our trip worth while by attending, signing in and buying lots
of RAFARS commodities.
If anyone, particularly those who are more local to the event, wishes to
help us on the stand, please get in touch with Roy g0tak@kencomp.net ASAP.
With your help we may be able to make this an annual event for RAFARS.
BARAC RADIO RALLY 4 DECEMBER 2011.
There will be a RAFARS stall at the Bishop Auckland Radio Amateur Club
Annual Rally 4th December 2011.RAFARS Commodities will be on sale, sign in
book will be available. Talk in will be on 145.550. The BARAC Rally is the
only rally in the NE of England with RAFARS representation.

members.

INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION (CITY IN THE SKY) AND RUSSIAN SOYUZ VISITS.
Soyuz Progress 44P due for lift off 25th Aug has crashed after take off.
This may delay or even stop all future Soyuz missions including visits to
the ISS. As the Shuttle Missions are no longer operating this could cause
a problem to ISS crew changes. More definite information in the next NL.
21/22 Sep Soyuz 28S Manned Spacecraft to/from the ISS with Expedition crew
26 Oct Soyuz Progress 45P to despatch stores to/from the ISS.
30 Nov Soyuz 29S Manned spacecraft to/from the ISS with Expedition crew.
30 Mar 2012 Soyuz 30S Manned Spacecraft to/from the ISS crew change.
Note - All Soyuz lift off are from Baikonur Cosmodrome, in Kazakhstan.
All missions are subject to delays.
