Hi Pete./
Yes we did cover a few things in our 2 too long ratchets on Skype. Thats
why I don't try to contact you too often. I will hane to set an alarm at,
maybe 1/4 hr in future !

As for Amsterdam. Not known for excellent WX but wonderful, friendly
people

Everything from museums and scenery to the re4d light district and some
rather strnge clubs, I just go there to chat BTW.

It is easily the safest city by a long way anywhere in Wurope. It helps to
have the police hiding up alleys, equipped with radios,CS gas, tazers and
tge Glock 17, No one tries to rob you, especially tourists.
That is why, I was surprised, a couple of years ago when a taxi driver
told me that they had lost 8m yankee tourists which is a big loss in
revenue.
Despite this, quite a lot of Americans live and work in
Amsterdam,Ritterdam, the Hague etc: and seem quite safe and happy.

Any Yanks reading this, don't be afraid to go to Amsterdam. You are not
NOT at risk!
You can visit the Anne Frank House, that church the Pilgrim fathers set
out from and all the usual places.

Holland needs you or, mor correctly, your $USs.
If you can afford it Pete, spend a couple of weeks in Amsterdam. You won't
be disappointed. I have been to the Netherlands 13 times now and still
love the place, if I was young and fit enough to work, I would live there.

Don't forget that, especially in the cities, the Dutch speak excellent
English. They start learning it at age 5. English is mandatory and the
must learn another language, usually German as that is the easiest for
them.

As for the boats at Brisbane. I am definitely just jealous. Maybe if I had
seen a heap of sailplanes I might have felt different even though I can no
longer afford to fly them.

I'll catch you on Skype over the next few days (with a timer set. I know
you are far too polite to try to cut me off but (grovel grovel) I do find
you a very interesting man to talk to and it is nice to see and say hello
to Maria, she seems a nice woman.
NB I don't know what this GNWB is that you talk about, maybe it is just an
excercise bike (?)

Give my regards to Maria when you Skype her. I wish I could afford to go
to Brazil, about 30 deg warmer than here but a 5,000 mile flight is beyond
me.

I hope that awful snow in Ontario melts soon. All the best mate.
