I noticed on RT this morning that the WX around Sao Paulo was 32 C and
sunny. I wonder if Maria can poke a camera out of the window and let you
see ?

I also heard mention of the floods around Sao Paulo, I don't remember if
you said she was in Rio or not.

Still, those pictures from Brisbane of the aftermath of the floods at the
marina - all those yachts lying together like a heap of sardines, picked
up and thrown down. I felt a tear in my eye as I thought of all those poor
mult-millionaires being deprived of their hobby :-(

It makes the months of perpetual drizzle seem not too bad after all. Maybe
that's why I mostly go to Amsterdam now. There was one year when they had
snow, all knee high and soft because they had no snow plows and another
year when they had a week at 30 deg C. Sitting on the Max Euweplein with a
glas of Heineken was very nice for an old man.

Paris is O.K. once, maybe twice. I have seen the Eifel Tower, Notre Dame
and stood under the Arc de Triomph (it doesn't look as big for real as it
does on TV) food and drink is twice the price of anywhere else in France,
even the south where they have Les Plages Naturistes giving you pleasant
scenery while you lie on the sand or in the shade, drinking your
Kronenbourg 1664.

A lot of Brits now go to Turkey or one of the Eastern European countries
because they are cheap, full of history, cheap beer and fags (sri -
cigarets) Tunisia and Egypt can be even cheaper--if you want to risk the
terrorists. At the moment the pyramids are deserted for the first time in
years.

All the best, enjoy the summer when it comes and. if you live 'down under'
heres hoping you don't have too bad a winter.
