Again we end up in "private" discussion, I was hoping someone would chime
in and play Name That Book but... oh well. I remember much about it but
the title escapes me, could be I remember the story well (thick and long
too) because I had to muddle through Hubbard's confused mixed but not
entwined story lines. I'd call them plot lines if anything he wrote had a
plot...
Yeah, trouble is Scientology is NO JOKE even if Johnny Revolting is one
of the laughable front men. It's a money making, mind controlling,
zombietizing cult that's rather dangerous once you learn of its inner
structure and how each unit works. The key to how C Corps operates is in
the book Dianetics which makes brainwashing and mind control North Korean
style clear to the reader but couched in questions leading to more
questions is nothing more than a lure to join the cult. Do a little
background check on Hubbard and you'll learn where and how he learned to
manipulate and control people, it smacks of The Manchurian Candidate
which BTW is fiction based on historical FACT. So how do I know about C
Corps when the inner workings of Scientology is a well guarded secret?
Every slave freed and deprogramed is a leak, maybe a once in a lifetime
encounter but extremely educational.
Yes, the film starred Johnny Revolting (Get the connection?) but you'd
never recognize him in space alien costume and makeup with an altered
voice. You killed it after the first few minutes? So what were you
expecting... serious drama? Sometimes the worst is the best especially if
you're into "camp" movies like the absolute worst of the worst, Plan 9
From Outer Space. Oh and BTW, you'll get more laughs out of the book,
they chopped out so much for time considerations the movie is maybe 1/10
the laughs as the book.
