Thank you Paul, and mmmm ...interesting? You were reading
a Porko Pete instalment to the OM @WW health Project for OMs
loosing weight...etc... Well good luck to you too.

Correct Paul. I was on the local..or one of them BBS nodes, and
noticed a TNOS connect, so when I tired, I saw this CONV and WCONV
and ...well I showed up as you say..when folks in UK were between
the sheets. Given the house here, I have the electric blanket
on and feel toasty between the sheets...or somewhere there.

I am just sorry I don't seem to get the time to go often and chat
with you and others. Never did find Alvin's relative nearby.

This seems to be a trend Paul. But now I know where to go, "OK"
I will try again really soon. I liked it, and when I was in
South America, I met other hams, that I keyboarded with...so it
is another of those we should all be using and keeping alive.

Really ... I would have loved that.

Agreed with all above. Clubs get some new notions to become more
Internet then the reason for the club, and saw that local here
where I was the only one on their packet frequency and well CONV
to you and others... they flipped and flopped on their excuse
to drop it all, but ...well ...I figured out the real reason.

I know also some were maintained and run by individuals and well
some sad news over the years, also very recent, when the owner
ssop passed away.

aaah those "good Ol days" and many users, and well before the
Internet came to your area, and as well mine...after that...the
death dive.

I loved the burning the midnight oil...It was all fun, and now
only good memorys, as opposed to going to bed...and then regrets
I never stayed up to enjoy.

I guess thats why I was glad to find my way back Paul.

I am glad to leave the packet going at night or when I can for digi
peating, as now we can cover easy 100miles plus. Funny thing
I also got an email from a scanner SWL with a reader or something
as I was going keyboard with a few, and doing my ascii stuff
to get this guy 30miles away to email me he heard us...which
lifted the sprites.

I always like it when you post something Paul. Lots of info
so sorrry to repeat, but if it helps someone to see it..if
they missed it...then thats great. I tired the Internet route
to packet...and I am useless at it.

I do have a dyndns thingme in the computer now...and ...well
NO clue as to what to do with it.

 I dropped back to ver4 ... as ver5 doesn't have the function
of looking at users online. Ver4 does allow..one to look at
a country and language and then show ...who from that country
etc is online...helps when looking for people with little
or nothing to go on.

> Same applies to echolink.

I have a long history, with Echolink, as I have been a member
since it was Ilink. I don't use it too much.

I am sure Paul, that John K0RL and others will find your info
useful and you might find them sometime on the WCONVs with you.

"Thank you" Paul G4APL. I hope your packet does some good,
and to anyone reading Paul's posting, I am sure you will enjoy
chatting with him and others.
