Booking forms are in the QRV Journal Autumn 2010 to be completed and
returned to HQRAFARS before the 24 Sept 2010. If you are not attending the
AGM fill in Para 4a,c,d and return to HQRAFARS.
The AGM will again be held in No1 Radio School. You will require a security
pass to enter DCAE Cosford. Please carry a recognised form of I/D besides
your RAFARS Membership Card.
FIELD REPS NOTE The morning meeting for FRs has been cancelled.
FR Matters will now be on the AGM agenda which will now commence at 1300hrs.

John VK6AU 4125 will be visiting VE/W land from 2 to 27 September
from the QTH of VE7BS, NIDT, K1VV, W1FC (R Echo link) and AD1X. No
Frequencies given, but John will try and post a spot on cluster prior to
calling.

RAF B1 Morse key. If anyone has any input, about the history or origins

NFD 2010 RSGB RESULTS.
RAFARS, G8FC/P came 17th out of an entry of 25 in the Restricted Section.
You will recall we had a lot of down time due to lightening which totalled
just under 5 hours. Looking at the tables, we seem to have lost more points
during adjudication this year. We lost 47 QSO and 190 points. However, to
put our scores into prospective, we had more points than the bottom 5 in
the Open Section, with their power and antennas.

Let's hope the SSB Field Day in September is a lightening free contest for
a change. Once again (see NL146) a big thank you to the NFD G8FC/P Crew and
good luck on 4/5 September.

Hardly no stations on 80m again this month but I did work GB0RTM
RAF Rougham 5/9 and I went to 20m for a while and had a good QSO with
K1UH 5/7 in Cape Cod, SP80PZK and a DH1AKJ/M travelling in Central Germany.
GB2RAF will be taking part in the RSGB UK Ham Week on the 9 October.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
Equipment used Kenwood TS570D 100w output to an inverted V trap dipole.

ENDEAVOUR STS135 WILL BE THE LAST SHUTTLE TO VISIT THE ISS.
The ISS will then be fully operational for a relay/staging space station
to other Space Satellites, Planets and beyond by flight modules.
All Shuttle Flights are subject to delays.
