AOTA AIRFIELDS ON THE AIR.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, an AOTA event
will be held over the week-end of Sep 18/19. This replaces the August Bank
Holiday proposal.
If you are putting on an AOTA Station advise Vince G4DQP and RAFARS News
Desk so we can insert you on the AOTA web list and News Letters under AOTA
Activations.
A certificate will be issued (on request) to All Radio Amateurs/SWL who
contact/log 5 AOTA Stations for a Bronze Certificate and 50 AOTA Stations
for a Gold Certificate, The administrative charge is #5. Cheques made payable
to RAFARS. Send to RAFARS Awards Manager, Andrew M3NDZ, QTHr in Call Books
and qrz.com . There is also a Pathfinders Award for a RAFARS Member who has
contributed the most to AOTA which will be presented at the Annual AGMs.

At 1200Z I took part in the IARU Contest and worked 18 IARU Radio Society
HQ Stations including GR2HQ on 80 40 and 20m all 5/9 no other stations on
80m 3.710 from 1030z Conditions good just no stations around.
It was also good to be able to work GB4FFR Ken G4KCF on CW 1154/55
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
Equipment used Kenwood TS570D 100w output to an inverted V trap dipole.

1 Nov Discovery STS133 L/O 1633 EDT to ISS with Express logistics ELC4 MLPM .
28 Feb 2010 Endeavour STS134 L/O 1619 EST to ISS with Express Logistics AMS
ENDEAVOUR WILL BE THE LAST SHUTTLE TO VISIT THE ISS.
The ISS will then be fully operational for a relay/staging space station
to other Space Satellites, Planets and beyond by flight modules.
All Shuttle Flights are subject to delays.

for times.
