E' stato pubblicato un articolo di I2JJR Augusto che presentava "SCSmail"
, programma freeware per radioamatori, una novit… importante per le
comunicazioni amatoriali binarie che utilizzano il TNC PTCII ovvero di
sistema PACTOR II e III; nello stesso tempo Lamberto, I0BLC sysop di
IK0MIL mi segnalava la possibilità di scaricare da WWW.SCS-PTC.COM il
programma SCSmail.
Questo programma presentato da radioamatori molto introdotti nei modi
digitali ha subito attirato la mia attenzione e dopo un nutrito scambio di
e-mail con I0BLC, che nel frattempo aveva iniziato la traduzione della
guida allegata al software, ho provveduto ad installare il programma sul
mio pc.
Cos'Š SCSmail ? Ritengo che sia il " core ", l'essenziale di quelle
applicazioni SCS utilizzate in modo professionale o semiprofessionale per
consentire l'inoltro di e-mail via HF dai luoghi più remoti utilizzando
una rete mondiale di server dedicati. ( vedi WWW.ZS5S.COM )
La possibilità di poter effettuare questa esperienza è certamente
coinvolgente, qualcosa di diverso dal solito spesso ripetitivo qso serale;
con questo non voglio affermare che sia un'innovazione, vedi la rete
Winlink , con lo stesso principio alcune stazioni costiere, associate a
club di navigazione da diporto, offrono il medesimo servizio ed altre
possibilità, su frequenze HF "civili", ottenute in concessione previo un
abbonamento , ma certamente Š qualcosa in pi— da poter conoscere ed
approfondire.
Il settaggio del programma Š molto semplice e rispecchia la preparazione
di altri sotfware utilizzati nel mondo PACKET/PACTOR o D-STAR ed in pochi
minuti si Š pronti ad attivare la nostra stazione ( client ).
Come server o " access point " attualmente sono attive due stazioni, DA5UF
prevalentemente diurna a 7.050 e 3.617 USB dial frequency e DB0OHV
notturna a 3.615 - 3.617 USB dial frequency.
La connessione Š istantanea anche con potenza limitata ed antenna da field
day, dopo pochi minuti troviamo sul nostro desktop i messaggi di prova che
ci siamo inviati utilizzando un account secondario.
Pure I0BLC sta sperimentando la configurazione " SERVER " a 7.049.900 USB
dial frequency, la stessa frequenza utilizzata da GB7CIP, TA2BBS,UA6ADV,
DA5UHR e DA5UDI per l'accesso ai loro nodi packet tramite HF Pactor.
Cercando la connessione con I0BLC spesso si ha il piacere di ricevere
messaggi di benvenuto da parte del server. Parlare, scrivere di e-mail via
HF nel mondo dei link a 5,7 Ghz con velocit… di trasferimento valutate in
Mbyte pu• sembrare anacronistico, ma se guardiamo a queste trasmissioni
con Ham Spirit possiamo ritrovare in esse la soddisfazione di poter far
dialogare le nostre apparecchiature radio con il mondo della comunicazione
globale.
Come ha scritto I2JJR Augusto, presto sulla pagina web - www.scs-ptc.com
- sarà pubblicata la versione italiana dell'handbook originale ed anche
il lavoro di I0BLC sara presente su un sito web dedicato all'attivit…
amatoriale, che sarà reso noto unitamente alle prossime esperienze.

It 'was published an article that appeared I2JJR Augusto "SCSmail"
freeware program for amateur radio, a major innovation for amateur
communications using the binary system or TNC PTCII PACTOR II and III, at

downloading the program from www.scs-PTC.COM SCSmail.
This program presented by amateur radio digital modes introduced in very

software, I proceeded to install the program on my pc .
What SCSmail? I think that is the core, the essence of those applications

The chance to make this experience is certainly exciting, something
different from the usual evening QSO often repetitive; this is not to say
that innovation, see WINLINK network, the same principle as some coastal
resorts, clubs associated with navigation pleasure, offering the same
service and other possibilities, on " not ham radio frequency" a
concession after a subscription, but it certainly is something more to
learn and develop.
The setting of the program is very simple and reflects the preparation of
other sotfware used worldwide PACKET / PACTOR or D-STAR and within minutes
you are ready to turn our station (client).
As a server or "access points" are currently active stations, mostly
daytime DA5UF 7050 and 3617 USB dial frequency and DB0OHV Night 3615-3617
USB dial frequency.
The connection is instantaneous even with limited power and antenna for
Field Day, we find after a few minutes on our desktop test messages that
we sent using a secondary account.
I0BLC also is testing the configuration "SERVER" to 7,049,900 USB dial
frequency, the same frequency used by GB7CIP, TA2BBS, UA6ADV, DA5UHR
DA5UDI and for access to their nodes via packet HF Pactor. Trying to
connect with I0BLC often has the pleasure to receive welcome messages from
the server. Speak, write e-mail via HF link to the world of 5.7 GHz
transfer rate measured in Mbytes may seem anachronistic, but if we look at
these programs with Ham Spirit we find in them the satisfaction of being
able to talk to our radio equipment with the world's global communication.
As written I2JJR Augusto soon on the website - www.scs-ptc.com - the
Italian version will be published and also the original Handbook I0BLC
will work this on a website devoted himself to amateur, to be announced
together with the next experience.
