I remember a time when packet was eveywhere on the band.
Now, at least in the Washington, DC area, there is nothing.
There was a time when I could have 5 to 7 K/B to K/B contacts going at one time.
Now those days are gone.
I miss my old friends, DN4MK, PE1AUK, VK4XYL, VK4GX, ON1DLP, just toOo name a few.
And the hundred others or so I made contact with. Hope you are all doing well.
I myself have moved on to echolink. I miss the keyboard, that mic seems alien,
but I'll get used to it.
The packet nodes are all gone now, I found this telnet linkODs hereOCOCOCOCOCOCOC are all gone now, I did find a the same. I need the radio and the TNC. Like an addict, I'm still hooked.
I could start my own PBBS, but nodes and ports I conect to here don't seem to work.
And my TNC stills sends out a beacon text, but there is no one out there.
Gone the way of the dinosaur.
