I tried a reply to ALL @VKNET but it seemed not to go beyond my BBS.
So below is the bull I tried to send.

Title : Re: Where has VKNET gone

The VKNET was useful to advise VK's of something pertinent to VK,
however these days there are so few Packet VK's, that VKNET is rather
redundant.
Some BBS's used all@local if it was something that he was advising his
users specifically and was effective.
Nowadays, the users are spread in very small numbers via telnet and the
to "all@WW" predominates, which after all lets all the relatively small
packet community, share our local news.
Many of VK's are now using a Telnet BBS and not necessarily in their own
country. So to "all@WW" gets to them.
Where I reside all wireless BBS digi-peaters and BBS's have closed. Sad
but a sign of the times!
