This posting is about the co-operation here in Jackson's Point
before, during and after the annual Halloween Patrol.
Actually we call it the "Halloween Goblin Patrol" and it was
started by Allyn VE3PRG, as a one person community service
og Amateur Radio.....but never disclosed to the media or
anyone, other then myself when he told me on the air the
next day. Since then I have joined him, when able
and others have as well.
I forget how many CB'ers he has, and if they are members of
REACT or not ,or any CB club. All I know is, that they
show up, and along with them some commercial radio equipped
vehicles, and then through somehow word got out to everyone
with FRS/GMRS and it seemed this year this coverage was
full from the core of the point to our community's western
border.
The vandalism of yester year has disappeared ....with last
night being a very quiet ..peaceful experience.
