Yes, there are still some doing 300 baud packet.  We have forwarding nets on
20, 30 and 40 meters.  With a TNC or sound card with tones at 1600/1800 you
could listen for messages being forwarded on 7.10346, 10146.68, and 14097.88,
all on LSB.
My station is a barefoot Ten Tec Jupiter to a dipole and fed with coax and
tuned with an MFJ tuner.  ( I know, but it works not too badly)  I use two
computers...one old dud with DOS version of FBB, then transferred to a newer
computer with MixW using the soundcard as a TNC and then on to the rig.
Sounds complicated, but not really, and once configured, using the sound card
and having the screen picture of the band is worth its weight in gold.
