Hello Rodge and all reading this thread....also forgot to
mention that the man observing this, was a retired Naval
Captain, and it had an impression on him which is a reason
mostlikely he doesn't take these cruise ships.

The bottomline Rodge, is saving money. No traffic cops
out there.

Wonder why no one saw the boats getting too close?
I've been out at night, and the chap I was with to impress
me. turned on all his "toys" and right away I lost my
night vision with the glare. It seems from looking
about in that experience, the rest there weren't watching
either our progress...another thing which got me, was
I like to watch my main and forsail and I couldn't see
them for this thing they have that covers the cockpit.
As for the swells, the first time I expencied that, was
during man overboard drils, and rescue of a dummie.
No electronics today are relied on too much, and what
is missing is a real expereinced crew.

So correct. I see it everyday at the lake here, where
in moments the lake is churning. To err is human
Rodge....to err is human.
