LA MIA STAZIONE.... from I4OYU.
Credo che per qualsiasi radioamatore sia abbastanza difficile parlare del proprio shack, cercherò di fare un breve riassunto soffermandomi soltanto sui momenti essenziali della sua crescita.
Il mio primo apparato agli inizi degli anni 80 e’ stato un IC- 215 che tuttora posseggo, perfettamente funzionante nei limiti della sua tecnologia. L’antenna era una GP 5/8 che all’occasione veniva posizionata sul balcone di casa. La tecnologia scorre velocemente, il packet e’ argomento di discussione sempre più frequente nei QSO serali e così, dopo aver provveduto ad installare la mia GP in una posizione migliore, trovo il posto per uno Standard 5200, un TNC PK88 e relativi alimentatori e un Apple che con il suo piccolo monitor a fosfori verdi e i grandi dischi da 5 pollici oggi potrebbe apparire come un alieno.
Nei momenti liberi ascoltavo e riascoltavo le cassette del corso CW curate dal mio insegnante di telegrafia I4AND, così un bel giorno il tetto di casa vide la presenza di “strani filiö che, anzichè stendere i panni, si collegavano tramite un lungo cavo nero ad un scintillante Kenwood 440 SAT.
L’ emozione era grande, anche se tutti quei bottoni incutevano un certo timore, che svanì in breve tempo quando il ticchettare del tasto CW iniziò a risuonare nella stanza.
A questo punto seguire la crescita degli apparati diventa difficile, a fianco delle VHF e delle UHF si affiancarono i 1200 MHZ, l’SSB in VHF con il 290 R ed il relativo amplificatore, ma il vero aggiornamento tecnologico e’ giunto circa 3 anni fa con l’avvento del protocollo D-STAR. Il primo approccio, come ho già avuto occasione di scrivere, non e’ stato dei più semplici, anche perchè l’unico ripetitore che
potevo raggiungere era sulle alture di Padova e potevo connetterlo regolarmente solo nei momenti di propagazione. E’ doveroso che ricordi l’incoraggiamento di T77GR che negli orari pi— impensati mi trasferiva l'esperienza da lui acquisita..
All'IC 2820 presto si affianc• un ID-1 che richiese spesso trasferte abbastanza impegnative a Monte del Giogo e a Civitavecchia per trovare corrispondenti, ampliare le proprie conoscenze nel testare le sue possibilita' in modo DV e DD.
Ed ora sono arrivata al 2009, nell’immagine panoramica della stazione si nota un contenitore di piccole dimensioni, ma ricco di tecnologia. E’ il DSP MULTIMODE PACTOR-CONTROLLER PTC-II pro, che collegato all'ICOM 756 Pro III o allo stagionato
440 SAT, mi ha consentito di sperimentare anche a livello amatoriale questo protocollo, che con pochi watts in banda 20 metri, mi permette di collegare agevolmente BBS a migliaia di chilometri anche in presenza di forte QRM e segnali quasi non percepibili
all'orecchio. Nella conoscenza di questo "modus operandi" un poco diverso dalle nostre abitudini devo certamente ringraziare I0BLC e I2JJR. Nella parte alta della panoramica compare un Collins 30L-1, amplificatore d'annata, ma in perfetto stato, che utilizzo raramente, preferendo operare con le potenze tradizionali degli apparati, anche per limitare la possibilit… di TVI ai vicini HI HI !
