JUST A FEW NOTES.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Having today returned from Spain using the routes a26/4/31/6/7/9/a7 i have
to say that in all the years ive been working european routes this was the
very worst ive seen. Sans plomb is a decent 1.36E. Autogrill is still
exceptional value. Refuelling four times. Perhaps it was just the Les a26
des anglais and the autoroute du soleil but it was sure hell on wheels and
as we entered dept 66 it naturally got worse. There was a rule of thumb
that it became easier between 12 et 14h, not now. The Jungle at Calais
razed to the ground has been fully rebuilt with the help of french
charities who feed the immigrants 5 times daily. But the human barriers
erected by the immigrants on Incoming routes to Calais has put many on
route to Oostende. Many truckers have worked out a system of dropping
their trucks at port for two day checkover then run using bozo's onto the
ferries and stacked back to back meanwhile the delivering trucker picks up
for delivery in EU.

The autoroute du soleil is stil the most expensive route south and cost
can be cut by using a16 to Rouen then the RN154 to a10/71/75/9 or if
heading for Andorra the a20 is the cheapest yet and good times can be
made.

If heading for the med via Italy there is no need to touch France at all
working from Z to Achen to Muchen and good journey times can be assured.

Bonne Route!
