Well David has a lot to say about Human Rights in this country - no Bill,
etc.I find this strange as we seem to be very well protected by law even
if no Bill.Maybe we use common sense.David we seem to be doing very well
over here. We are protected by the laws though like your own country we do
have some violent citizens who think it is fine to rob and injure innocent
citizens. Most of these thugs seem to be in two major cities a long way
from where I live. Reading the news though it seems you have at least as
much of this problem as we have. Some of our problems seem to have been
imported in migration (there's that word again Warren. Live with it).
As for amateur radio most of us know what the limitations of the law allow
without having to grind through a lot of regulations every time we want to
do something unusual in ham radio. We passed a written exam on the
regulations when I took my exams. I am not sure what they do about that
now.
On another subject since the Foundation licence came in local amateur
radio has had a shot in the arm. There is plenty of activity in my region
again.

On VHF a record breaking opening on 144 into Sydney from here had the VK2s
queuing up to work us. Plenty of activity there, all polite, friendly and
excited about a VHF record being broken. Some good must have been achieved.

No, None of the new licencees are on packet. Packet is dying; just look
at the number of users coming through @WW. One reason given by two locals?
Packet has become a war zone with self righteous operators taking over
and boring the pants off us. OK there are some who are posting useful
material for those with the same interest, but much of the content
ofbulletins nowadays are cheap shots at some other poor unfortunate
amateur. I dared to ask for advice for a problem I have. I had 3 or 4
operators make suggestions. Others who frequent packet insulted me. This
would not be tolerated on voice or CW but on packet it seems loose tongues
are almost the norm.

OK Warren shoot me down if you like but I have had months of "confusion"
"frogs", etc., but nothing of real utility.

Had my say. I was talked back into packet but I am wondering whether I was
wise in acceding.Nothing much has changed.

Now for you David. You are now dragging the bottom of the barrel and
regurgitating stuff that we argued about two or three years ago. Give it a
rest. It is old history and nothing much has changed in the meantime. It
is no longer of the slightest interest. Why revert to that long ago?

Warren, you are the one that is confused you keep making statement about
language and other topics relating to Australia which show you don't know
much about the subject. You are quick to criticise but handle criticism of
you yourself badly.
Cheers all on the second day of spring.
Bob VK6BE.

>A quote from Warren the perfect:

>Hi Bob and all,
You say David won't listen when it is YOU wo won't listen and state so
quite adamantly each time he explains in detail, you refuse to take the
time to read his bulls. No wonder you get confused and mix up the
discussion, again you fall back on your old, worn out argument about
politics and religion when David wrote NOT ONE SINGLE WORD about anything
remotely related. FYI, it was entirely about law or lack thereof in
Australia's case, I took the time to read and understand.
You're nit picking again even if completely off topic so this is as good
a time as any to introduce you to the monkey.
