Good Morning to all, who miss Walter Cronkite KB2GSD.,

Via emails, and sites I was directed to, and via the media I got a
look as did others interested in his use of Ham Radio. CBS emplyees
who are hams will have the best memorys, and I was thankful they
shared them with those of us, especially the behind the scenes
of Walter copying CW hearing it over his earpiece which gave him
practice as well his passing the CW .

I was especially interested in his appearance on 10meters and the
10m net there on 28.390 as I am trying to get a friend of mine
who advertises that net, to see if he ever heard Walt on the air.

The funny thing was a ham there, in contact with KB2GSD didn't
realize he was indeed speaking to Walter Cronkite, and told him
it was a bad immitation of Walter Cronkite. That was a funny
one from one of the CBS employees.

I hope that perhaps via packet we might hear first hand from
US Hams on any expereinces they had with KB2GSD.

"Thank you" to those who did email me, with some nice observations
and I did appreciate it very much.
