The East Riding Yorkshire RAFARS group led by Bernard G0SWO will be
operating S/E call-sign GB2VET on the 1st/2nd August at the Hull veterans
day event. Please support the team and give them a call.
RAFARS DINNER AND AGM 2009
16 Oct The Annual Dinner will held at the Grays Hotel, Telford TF3 4NA.
17 Oct The AGM will take place in the No.1 Radio School at DCAE Cosford
at 1330hrs.
Please note, to gain access to the AGM at DCAE Cosford, members will be
required to provide personal and vehicle details in advance.
Full details will be published with the Summer QRV.

RSGB CW NFD G8FC/P 2009
H/W short Brief. Number of points this year 2106 compared with last year
which was 2173 but this year the Station had to close down at 1117Z for
3.5hrs due to a severe Lighting Storm otherwise the score would have been
well over last years results. Points will be confirmed in due course by the
RSGB.
Big thanks go out to Roger G3ZDW for organising the Field Day Contest
with the new RAFARS ATU and of course the crew that operated and helped.
Well done for supporting RAFARS and getting G8FC/P Operational.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
De-brief 20 June. 47 Stations worked between 0900-1400A including 8 Museums
on the Air. Conditions good, RAFARS Members Worked M0RGI G4OUS GB2AIR G4YEP
G7EUA and G4PFR. The Museum was only open for the SES Museums on the Air.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
