Hello Everyone in USERS @WW and following "Last Person Standing".,
Which also can mean....whom also is using the packet service for
other activities.

I recently found out, and must have been when I was a member of
the local sailing club, using my packet station as a marker
in foggy WX or at night ...Well today, being the "ONLY" RF source
in Jackson's Point.... closeby the harbour and the base of operations
for the sailing club .... YES, a few are using the ID and whatever
when it is keyed to checkout where they are when it is needed as
a source.

Not exactly what I wanted to hear as a Packeteer, in the email
but a source, and that it is being used. RDF'ers , which is
also a need on the lake if another boater is requiring assistance.

Digipeater is now on ... SSID is VE3WBZ-2 . Range so far and
off the back of the homebrew 5 element yagi is Huntsville to
the north well over 50miles away. This is great, as my antenna
is faced south into Toronto 88km away, and have had already
someone checking it out...so our packets are being read and
tried.

Now to upgrade the mailbox to a FBB BBS and see what will run
OK with Windows98...on a computer donated for packet, so might
as well put it to the use of all.
