I read Trevor, M1CUK's bull: with great interest.
One thing which put people off being a BBS was the NoV. I friend of mine,
about 15 years ago, with his brand new G7 licence, sent off for the
paperwork to apply for an NoV. The sheer amount of nosy questions annoyed
him so much that he tore up the application and filed it.bin

If I had an AE, I would try to be a sysop even if it meant buying a cheap
s/h PC. I still have a TNC.
But you can't beat city hall as the Americans say.
As for being a taker etc. I know one man in my area who has never sent a
bull in over 20 years but he still pays donations to whatever society has
supported his local BBS.

NOTE to users of GB7FCR. It will soon be time to send a donation to Trev.
It's about a year.

All the best and keep on going. 73. Ian.
