I agree it  is a worry.  We have all  these facilities but  no development is
going on at all. I guess that is to be expected with the current low level of
activity.

However there is one factor which will matter in the future.
It is virtually certain that the internet will become either unusable or very
restricted in its coverage or very unreliable.

This vision  of doom  will raise  peels of  laughter I  am sure,  but it will
happen,  probably  inside the  next  5 to  7  years. A  guesstimate  is  very
difficult.
It will depend on whether  governments direct resources into roadways,  other
infrastructure or the localisation of  industry and decide that the  internet
has a lower priority.

Whenever it  happens we  will have  one of  the only  electronic mail systems
still operating. Just so long as our junk boxes hold up.
