Hello Dave VK2AWZ.,

I read your posting, and read into it, the same that is happening
here in this area of Canada. I was the "Last Man" on the VE3YRA BBS
when the club, yes a club decided packet radio wasn't worth it, and
Internet and tieing Internet with radio was the better way.

When I look about the freq that takes me to VA3BAL BBS, there are
but a few users it seems, and today I connected to only 1 to his
maibox to say hello. All RF with the 2meter radio ....RF the
reason for the hobby.

I think Dave, if anyone reads it, most will agree with you.

I tired to promote packet when I was on the 80meter nets, but
it seems most as hammie-Interneters and no impression.

SO .... what is next? The youth here, have no interest in
this dino-stuff ....They and the schools long ago removed the
ham radio shack, and they call it the Computer Lab now, and
banks and banks of the computers are hooked into the Super
Highway and Internet. Progress...
