If I remember correctly you would need a 'dongle' to plug into the laptop and when booted with it in will clear the laptop bios password. 

I will search to see if I've still got the one I had many years ago - I want to keep it as I've still got a 4030 that gets used every now and then, but if you want to send a personal packet message to me maybe we can organise you having a loan of it to clear the password. I know it worked, I've used it (sometime back late last century!). I'll go looking for it - but please contact me about it.
