RAFARS NEW MORNING NET
A new RAFARS Morning Daily Net has been formed by Jim G4PFR.
Freq 3.710Mhz 1100L. The Controllers will be as per the evening Net.
Already the Net seems to be very popular.
RAFARS IN PRACTICAL WIRELESS MAGAZINE.
RAFARS was mentioned in PW February 2008 issue, see page 39 to 41.

the PW Magazine.
BELGIUM AIR FORCE
The Belgium Air Force Amateur Radio Association is celebrating its 40th
anniversary. Using the call sign ON40BAF, the station will be operational
during 2008. Contact George ON4TJ RAFARS 2186 for further information.
Geo is aware of the RAFARS Nets including the 1100L new Net so, if RAFARS
members hear ON40BAF, I am sure they would like a QSO with you.

The Spring QRV has been dispatched to the printers and should be on your
doorstep any day soon. Editor, Roy G0TAK, says that he is desperate for
input from members for the Autumn edition. So please, please support your
Journal with Stories/News/Pictures/Events and Debriefs. Send them to Roy
by e-mail to <g0tak@kencomp.net> or by post to G0TAK (QTHr in QRZ). and to
arrive no later than the end of June.
RAFARS NEWS LETTER ON NATIONAL NET.
Due to skip conditions and no communications established with any RAFARS
stations, RAFARS News was not transmitted on Sunday 13 Jan 08 at 1900L.
It is also worthwhile to mention that conditions throughout January on the
National net have been very poor. This would be a good time to get on to
the Morning Net but the 1800L Net should improve as the evenings draw out
RAFARS CONTESTS, RALLIES WITH RAFARS STANDS AND OTHER EVENTS.

A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
On the 12 Jan 37 contacts made on 3.710 which included RAFARS G3RAF,G2AFV,
G4BKE,G8ZGK,GB2IWM,M0CES,G4WZI,G0UMM,G4YEP,G0SDZ,G3REN,GI4SAM and GB2BP
which will be the new QTH for the RSGB this year.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.

24 Apr Discovery STS124 to ISS with Kobo Japanese logistics module.
7 Aug Atlantis STS125 to Hubble Telescope with 7 crew for last servicing.
18 Sep Endeavour STS126 to ISS with a Multi purpose logistics module.
The ISS should be completed by 2010 and will then act as a stepping stone
to the Moon and then beyond.
