COUNCIL MEETINGS 2009.
May 07: Jun 30: Sep 01: NOV 17: All meetings commence at 1200hrs.
Any member may attend Council meetings but travel costs can not paid.
Members wishing to attend must contact Mike G7JPN, our Gen. Sec., at least
one month in advance of the due date.
The AGM will be held at Cosford on Oct 17 at 1330hrs.
100 YEARS OF THE FLEET AIR ARM.
RNARS will be Operational with the SES GB100FAA from the
7 May to the 15 May 09 from HMS Collingwood.
19 May to 21 May 09 from RNAS Yeovilton.
This is to celebrate 100 years of the Fleet Air Arm.
Primary Freq. will be SSB 3.740 7.055 14.294/335 CW 3.520 7.020 14.052
Yeovilton will be one day CW another day SSB and the third day mixed mode.
It is also hoped that 2m will be operational from both stations.
RAFARS QRV JOURNAL.
QRV. Editor Roy, G0TAK - 2E1RAF still requires articles for the autumn
edition of QRV. The 'modern radio' theme will be antennas (or aerials for
those among us that can remember such things).
Please send your articles in 'MS Word Format' to g0tak@kencomp, and include
any diagrams as separate .jpg attachments. Aerials are phenomenally
difficult to photograph.
The ABSOLUTELY last day for copy is 30th June 2009. BUT the sooner the
better; the autumn edition is usually stuffed with AGM material which must
take precedence.

GB2RAF joined the 1100 RAFARS Net and direct contacts made with G4PFR
We then QSYd to 3.720 and rejoined 3.710 at 1125. RAFARS Members worked
GB2IWM G4WZI G4YEP M0MJG M0LYI G3REN G0GHK G4CBJ M3ZKB G7MHQ and G3WRD.
This time I had some help with guests M0PUD Alec and M0HUG Sue.
It was of course Science Week but no Science Station heard or worked
The Station closed at 1500UTC.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
