Thoughts!
So full of my own thoughts, but more pertinent are thoughts of
others, who were about to make mine obsolescent. The Ambulance stopped
outside my door, but went into next door, my neighbour! Fairly quickly,
out came a wheelchair, and a white blanketed figure in it, was loaded
into the ambulance. It WAS my neighbour, an early retiree, but an, on
the go chum.
.. it also crossed my mind the news of that up country BBS who was closed
down; within 24 hours; the good news that the BBS was under new command?
The events may not seem so related; Scotland/Australia, don't seem to be
close events .. unless, WE make them so?
Communication, IS a 'part' of Amateur Radio, but it means ALL,
if you or yours come to grief? It won't matter how the news comes to
you, but quickly, so that you can do something, for someone! Well,
that's that then? .... FIRST, do it for yourself - you are no use to
anyone else, unless you are on form and see events happening!
Maybe we forget that at the end of the day, WE are due a contribution,
to our fellows .. and this act fills in many more boxes, than any
singular interest. No pressure; it has no value, unless YOU make it so,
because, you want to do your small something .. it will boost your
substance, into another plane altogether. What you do to benefit
yourself, AND your neighbour - has much more worth for BOTH.
I like writing stories usually with a moral of some sort to
them .. for ME! 'WEIRDO' was initially, for others - others, weren't
impressed, so, I did it .. for ME; and I was impressed, since IT did
.. something for me?
Did you ever walk up to the door of a new Family, just arrived
to stay? A bottle of lemonade, since you are a soft drink fiend, but
the Well Wishes, are for all the Family? You'll feel a right Charlie
for the short time it takes the new Owner, to realise, that .. this
is a local, who is here to WELCOME the Family? I did? .. but it didn't
do me any harm. Just the once; it takes it out of you ..
However; what you do, must come from YOU - nobody, specially me,
does it for you. I wouldn't get any benefit from it, whatsoever -
since I already hung out my shingle, as it were!
.. within a short time, I lost ONE friend, and the second not long ago,
left in an Ambulance. It wasn't anybodies fault, but, I might go see.
