VERONA - MERIDA ATTIVAZIONE.
Sabato 13 e domenica 14 dicembre 2008, la Sezione A.R.I. di Verona,
nominativo IQ3VO, per festeggiare il 60 ø anniversario della stessa
avviera' un'attivazione congiunta con la citta' di Merida, nominativo
speciale EH4EI.
Oltre ai consueti collegamenti in 40 e 20 metri, IQ3VO operera' da
Piazza Dante al centro di Verona in modalita'D-STAR.
L'iniziativa sara' di supporto a Telethon 2009.
Varie testimonianze storico-artistiche accomunano le due citta' nella
storia, fin dai tempi dell'Impero di Roma,in particolare i loro attuali
Anfiteatri:
l'anfiteatro di Verona, uno dei maggiori del Mondo Romano con una
capacita'di circa 25.000 spettatori e l'anfiteatro di Merida, dichiarato
dall'UNESCO "Patrimonio dell'umanita'" nel 1993, costruito su ordine
dell'Imperatore Ottaviano Augusto.
Vista la particolare solennita' e importanza di questo avvenimento che
accomuna momenti diversi, ma uniti da una storia millenaria, nonche'
l'impegno profuso nelle due citta' dalle due associazioni
radioamatoriali per realizzare un corretto svolgimento di questa
attivazione, invito i Radioamatori a collaborare a questo evento con
numerosi collegamenti.
Per chi fosse interessato al modo D-STAR, ricordo il nominativo del nodo
d-star di Verona - IR3DB B - sul quale operera' principalmente IQ3VO.

VERONA - MERIDA ACTIVATION.
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December 2008, the Chamber ARI Verona, IQ3VO
name, to celebrate 60 ø anniversary of the start 'activation combined
with the city of Merida, EH4EI special name.
In addition to the usual routes 40 and 20 meters, IQ3VO operate from
Piazza Dante in the center of Verona in modalita'D-STAR.
The initiative will 'support to Telethon 2009.
Various historical and artistic together the two cities' history, since
the times of Rome,in particular their current amphitheaters:
the amphitheater of Verona, one of the World Romano with a capacity di
about 25.000 spectators and the amphitheater of Merida, declared by
UNESCO "World Heritage '" in 1993, built on the orders of the Emperor
Octavian Augustus.
Given the special solemnity 'and importance of this event that brought
together several times, but united by a thousand-year history, as well
as' his efforts in the two cities' associations from the two amateur
radio to achieve a smooth running of this activation, the Amateur Radio
call to cooperate this event with many links.
