It's good to see so many people using their amateur radio licence to the
full by "seeking, receiving and imparting information and ideas of all
kinds through any medium regardless of frontiers".

I've originated bulletins on more than 500 topics over the years, my own
sphere of interests include human rights and responsibilities, misuse of
power by the state - especially America and the UK, oppressive belief
systems, and the dangers they pose, and the plight of vulnerable and
disadvantaged people.

But it's good to see that I'm not alone in taking an interest in these
rather heavy, and to some dull topics, as the following bulletin stats
for the last four weeks on just two subjects dear to my heart shows:

Topic bulls % of total

Racism:
KB2VXA 11 41%
VK6BE 9 33%
G4EBT 6 22%
VE3WBZ 1 4%
Total: 27

Iraq
KB2VXA 12 31%
VE3WBZ 11 28%
VK6BE 9 23%
G4EBT 7 18%
Total 39

It's especially heartening to see that Bob, VK6BE, continues to be well
ahead of the game and playing an active part in debating such important
topics, which at one time he mistakenly said weren't allowed.

Many thanks to the above for their contributions - do keep the bulletins
coming. It's so important that these topics don't go off the radar screen.

Thanks also to other contributors not listed above, who sent out the
occasional bull, on these topics, though not to the same extent.
(EG; GM7HUD: GITMO 1; Racism 2).

Quote of the day:

                 "Freedom of Speech"

"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and
the silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter".

(George Washington 1732-1799, First President of the USA).
