VERONA : FOCUS ON AIR D-STAR
DOMENICA 30 NOVEMBRE 2008 L'ELETTROEXPO d'autunno ha ospitato un
interessante e simpatico incontro dedicato al protocollo -D-STAR-, che
ha visto la presenza di numerosi utilizzatori e simpatizzanti
provenienti da numerose regioni.
Moderatore ed organizzatore dell'incontro IW3HXO Athos, presidente
Sezione Ari Verona.
L'incontro e' stato preceduto da un' amichevole cerimonia che ha visto
la premiazione dei primi classificati al " Contest Veneto 2008", a cura
di IW3IAQ Stefano e la consegna di una targa a I3MW Armando a ricordo
della sua trentennale dedizione alla sezione cittadina come Presidente.
Il primo argomento trattato da IW3HXO ha illustrato, con il supporto di
una presentazione audiovisiva, la flow-chart di un apparato
"d-star"soffermandosi con chiarezza nell'illustrazione del trattamento
dei pacchetti -voce - dati - in ingresso ed uscita dell'apparato.
Anche la discussione sulla struttura attuale e futura della rete
"D-Star" Italia ha attirato l'attenzione dei presenti, particolarmente
quando e' stato anticipato il progetto di sostituire il collegamento tra
i nodi, che principalmente avviene attraverso la rete internet TCP/IP ,
con link microonde in banda amatoriale a 5.4 Mhz, argomento
approfondito anche da IZ3CYW Maurizio, radioamatore particolarmente
impegnato a livello nazionale nell'ottimizzazione della rete e nella
gestione del " network REFLECTOR".
Un breve cenno e' stato dedicato anche alla diffusione delle
comunicazioni amatoriali digitali in Europa toccando anche la
sperimentazione del protocollo Motorola APCO25, attualmente presente con
due impianti in Francia.
Il modo "DD"( digital data ) a 128 Kbps, tipico dell' ID-1 in banda 1200
Mhz e' stato oggetto dello studio presentato da IZ3KEO Alfonso, dedicato
all'utilizzo del software ZOIPER per la connessione di piu' utenze in
modo voce o video o trasferimento internet. Esperimenti effettuati con
successo in Verona , anche in collaborazione con il Gruppo Scatter Monte
del Giogo e Monte Maggiore. Per gli interessati la documentazione di

IK4MTR Francesco ci ha documentato sulla sua esperienza "d-star" in
Canada e negli Stati Uniti con le immagini di un lungo itinerario che lo
ha portato a contatto degli Om oltreoceano, soggiorno durante il quale
quasi giornalmente si collegava in modo perfetto con gli Om italiani del
Lazio, dell'Emilia e del Veneto utilizzando un ic91 con l'appoggio dei
ripetitori Usa ubicati generalmente sulle piu' alte strutture delle
metropoli.
Al termine dell'incontro IW4ALK Vincenzo ha illustrato esperienze
"D-Star" a Monte del Giogo, soffermandosi sui collegamenti voce e dati
realizzati piu' volte tra le parabole di Monte Maggiore (Roma) e Monte
del Giogo (IQ4GS/5), con particolare attenzione al test per una
possibile dorsale tra il Lazio e la Pianura Padana utilizzando un unico
punto di appoggio costituito dal nodo IQ4GS B IQ4GS C. Detto test
aveva consentito di collegare, senza l'ausilio della Rete Internet, il
Lazio con Parma e Verona in modo DV e DD.

I vari interventi sono stati intervallati da collegamenti audio-video
(Skype) con F6BNM Stephane da Parigi, IZ3CLG Gianluca dal meeting di
Pescara e con IK0YYY Luca, che ha illustrato lo splendido risultato del
collegamento con la tecnologia"D-Star" avvenuto il 25 nov. tra
l'Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia di Roma e la base
Italo-Francese "DOME C " in Antartide II0AMZS.

SUNDAY 30 NOVEMBER 2008 The ELETTROEXPO Autumn hosted an interesting
and pleasant meeting devoted to the protocol "D-STAR", which saw the
presence of many users and supporters from many regions.
Moderator and organizer of IW3HXO Athos, Chamber President Ari Verona.
The meeting was preceded by a 'friendly ceremony that saw the award
ceremony of the first labeled the "Veneto Contest 2008", edited by
Stephen IW3IAQ and delivery of a plaque to I3MW Armando in memory of his
thirty-year dedication to the town as President.
The first topic dealt with by IW3HXO explained with the help of an
audiovisual presentation, the flow-chart of a device "d-star" dwelling
clear illustration of the treatment package "voice - data input and
output of ' machinery.
The current debate on the structure and future of the "D-Star" Italy has
attracted the attention of those present, particularly when it is
anticipated the project to replace the link between the nodes, which
occurs mainly through the Internet TCP / IP, microwave link with amateur
band to 5.4 Mhz, detailed argument by IZ3CYW Maurizio, amateur
particularly committed nationally in optimization of the network and
management of "network REFLECTOR."
A brief mention was also dedicated to the spread of amateur digital

structures of the metropolis.
At the end of IW4ALK Vincenzo experience has shown "D-Star" on Mount
Giogo, focussing on voice and data connections made several times
between the parables of Mount Maggiore (Rome) and Mount Giogo (IQ4GS /
5), with particular attention to test for a possible ridge between Lazio
and the Po Valley using a single point of support established by IQ4GS
node B IQ4GS C. That test was allowed to connect without the help of the
Internet network, with the Lazio Parma and Verona in DV and DD.
