Hi Chris,
I'm using an old ft-712 for c4fm rx at the moment, this was my 9k6 packet
trx for years.
Works great but would like to try a new type of radio and perhaps modify
it.
We are planning some new links here in PA low cost would be great.
The quality is indeed better of the "real" ham radios.
The price has a reason but nice to play with, and in case of technical
smoke it does not hurt that mutch in the wallet ;)
