Oh Dear,

Warren is showing the very obvious signs of someone who has no
understanding of what packet sysops have to contend with in places other
than a higly uburbanised area of the US.

The use of 0k3 packet has NOTHING to do with a sysop's ability but it may
have something to do with the size of his bank account.

I use it here for a couple of reasons. One is that it suits end users who,
like me, fel no need to invest in an expensive alternative. I have more
users on 0k3 HF packet (20m and 40M) than I do on VHF or internet.

Some would say install UHF links. I have both the know-how and the
equipment for that but the nearest node is around 350km both to the north
and to the south of me, and nobody in between is even remotely interested
in packet.

0k3 HF packet may be a dinosaur but it works.
