Ideally , I was having the same idea to broadcast a
political correct X-Mas message. So John D.E. beat me to it.
Well done!
I might however still refine one for South Africa solely.
Garbage , where garbage is due.
Eons ago, when still working at a small TV station, rigged
up with Father Claus... It was remarkable the young lads,
most of them, went for action toys, mechanics and power.
NO one mentioned : PEACE ON EARTH.
Even for the little girls a rather folorn concept.
And , apparently even today much, much more so. In this
regard , I might mention our direct neighbour of Zimbabwe.
For the rest of the northern world it might be the whole
area of northeast Africa to the eastern end of Iran , agh,
well make that Pakistan. The boys there - Grown ups , then
rather called : Politicians , are asking for their stocking
fillings. A bomb sqad here, a tank colony there, and ayyy
nuther Einsteins bomb...
And , AHHHhh the Christians will yell, thats where the real
trouble lays...the NON Christians? But then , any one odd
X-Mas annother Sten (CFC) comes along, turn their heads 180
degs (preferably more) and tells them : ISN't IT YOU! Who
sells them the WAR Toys ?
More than ever , X-Mas here and any where else is about
...MONEY!
The funky , hard metall tunes of Rheinhold the hard Dunkey
Reindeer... makes my ears twirl and gives me a tilted focus
for the far away horizon of Santas sled, Reindeer and Bomb
shelter. It zigzags to my mind as well as to my brain with
the compliment of seasons pains. About a 50 megaton
Headache.
However, its the season where racial agression is somewhat
subdued here in South Africa. Not that we had a lot lately.
Economy is a more pressing Einstein.
The Season , its said has produced about 600 road death for
the holidays ahead. Less than last years.
Progress. . At last.
Whishes "I" have plenty.
Luckily for me , I have what I need and want.
I would rather go for :
Peace on Earth.
Its our last refuge. Twas the first one too.
